Benefit Roller Lash Mascara | First Impressions

Wednesday was a pretty good day, I was on Twitter and noticed that people were mentioning the March Elle magazine issue being released. I was aware that a free sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash would be included so quickly rushed to my local Tesco to pick up a copy. They actually had the magazine out a day early which was super exciting, so yesterday and today I have tried it out for the first time. My opinion on the Benefit They're Real mascara was a pretty bad one, it didn't really do much for my lashes and left them feeling very heavy, crispy and quite spidery. However the claims on this little beauty seem right up my street and if this works, I can feel it becoming my new favourite mascara.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints | Review

A few weeks ago whilst popping into Poundland I noticed a small beauty section that looked more interesting than I'd ever imagined. Amongst other things I spotted some products by Rimmel in packaging that stated 'Famous Brands', at first I thought what the hell and walked away not purchasing anything. That evening I popped online and asked on Twitter, and Googled my way to see if the products were A. genuine and B. safe to buy. A load of people told me that the products were genuine and are usually stock that is being discontinued or are just older products. That aside I made my way back to Poundland to pick up a few of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Liquid Eyeshadows, £1.00.

London Beauty Haul

Yesterday I hopped on a train to London, my absolute favourite place to go and one day I will live there! I only live approximately an hour away, so it's not a huge journey but I love it! I actually went to attend the QVC Beauty Bash, an annual beauty event that I've attended for a few years now, you are selected to attend or this year you could purchase a ticket. The idea of the event is for you to meet the presenters and founders of the beauty brands on QVC including Bare Minerals, Benefit, HD Brows and more. You also receive a wonderful goody bag full of products to try at the end of the day.

Whilst in London I felt it completely necessary to do a little makeup shopping, my local Boots and Superdrugs are pretty dull and are never fully stocked which I actually noticed was a similar story in London too, it's so disappointing when the things you want are out of stock! I had a fair few points stacked up on my Advantage card so thought I'd use those, but I was really looking for the new Soap & Glory Brow Archery. Unfortunately this wasn't available at the Soap & Glory stand so no doubt I'll pick this up online or at a different counter but I did pick up a few other things I've been lusting over for a while, and a repurchase which I am obsessed with.

Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush | Review

For Christmas I received a few Zoeva brushes, I've been wanting to try the brand for a long time, especially the brushes. I see a lot of bloggers talking about the brand and the brushes seem to appear in a lot of the beauty YouTube videos I watch. I think Zoeva is a relatively affordable brand especially if you buy from beautybay.com with free delivery. Their eye brushes seem to be around the £6-£8 mark each and larger, face brushes are more over the £10 mark. I've been looking for the perfect sized brush to use for concealer, particularly around my eyes, but everything I've tried or looked into has been too big or too small. I came across the Zoeva 110 Face Shape brush on YouTube, when a vlogger was using it to contour, another amazing purpose for this brush.

Must Have iPhone Apps

Now I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit addicted to my iPhone, which sounds stupid and a little sad but that little device is a game changer. I use my iPhone for work, play, blogging, watching you name it, it can do it and after having one I'm not sure what I'd do without it! Today I wanted to share with you my favourite apps that I use on a daily basis, the things I find extremely useful and I feel you all would too, especially if you're a Blogger or YouTuber. The best part about this post is that all of the apps I use are 100% free from the Apple App Store, I'm sure there are alternatives available from Google, Android and other marketplaces.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | Review

I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to concealer, forever on the hunt for the perfect consistency, coverage and texture. There are so many concealers I love and use on a daily basis but I hadn't yet found 'the one'. I like high coverage under my eyes but at the same time I don't want this turning cakey or dry. I received the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for my birthday last year, so I've had a pretty good amount of time to test it out since May. At first I picked the shade Vanilla which after a few weeks of use I realised was a little too dark for me, so I decided to order myself Chantilly and I actually sold the shade Vanilla on the selling app, Depop.

The Radiant Creamy Concealer comes in at £22.00 from the NARS website or you can pick it up for £17.50 with free delivery from look fantastic. I've ordered from both of these websites before and both services were fab and the product 100% genuine. The concealer is available in 10 shades covering a variety of skin tones and undertones, Chantilly is the perfect shade for me and works extremely well under the eyes as it's ever so slightly lighter than my skin tone. The shade Chantilly is definitely lighter than my Mac Prolongwear in NC15 for anyone who wishes to compare.

Hydraluron Moisture Jelly | Review

IndeedLabs has been a favourite brand of mine for a good few months now, maybe even over a year, with a fantastic range of products including the ever so famous Hydraluron. I remember first trying Hydraluron and thinking how amazing my skin felt, so soft and hydrated. I've also tried other products by the brand including Eysilix, an eye cream that actually works and Nanoblur.

When IndeedLabs introduced Hydraluron Moisture Jelly, I was straight to Boots to pick one up, I absolutely love the other Hydraluron products and couldn't be more keen to try this one. The moisture booster comes in the gorgeous signature packaging, super sleek with a pop of colour. I really like the style of the packaging, with a suction pump it's easy to use and hygienic as well as ensuring you use every last bit of the 30ml product inside.

Makeup Academy Haul

Last week whilst browsing the wonderful land of Twitter, I saw a tweet from Makeup Academy saying they had a 35% off sale, hell yeah. I've not purchased much from the brand that recently due to my local Superdrug being total rubbish at keeping the shelves stocked, and the fact that the MUA counter is tiny. I popped on over to the website to check out what was in the sale and I er ended up with a few bits in the basket!

The Perfect Lip Combo

Finding a nude lip colour that I like or even love is a bit of a challenge, I have pretty pigmented, naturally red lips so the majority of nude lip colours or lighter lip colours look streaky and awful. I envy you people with lovely soft natural lip colours! I also find it a complete task to find a lip colour that suits my skin tone, I find pink seems to suit me the best and it works quite nicely with my blue eyes. Recently I've sort of given up on my hunt and I've been wearing either a dark lip or nothing at all.

For Christmas last year (wow that's weird..) I received the highly loved and raved about Mac lipstick in Creme Cup. Before properly trying it out, I wanted to find a lip liner to match, so the colour would show its true intensity on me. Thanks to my wonderful Twitter followers, I was introduced to East End Snob by Rimmel.

Beauty Favourites of 2014

It feels like my last favourites post was a long time ago, and my 2013 favourites feels even longer ago. Throughout 2014 I discovered so many fantastic products, and I am so super excited for what 2015 may bring including my 21st birthday! 2014 has been a fab year, in many ways and I hope it has been for you too. I don't have many, but there are a few items that have really stood out to me over the year, whether they're new or old, I have really loved them.
