Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints | Review

A few weeks ago whilst popping into Poundland I noticed a small beauty section that looked more interesting than I'd ever imagined. Amongst other things I spotted some products by Rimmel in packaging that stated 'Famous Brands', at first I thought what the hell and walked away not purchasing anything. That evening I popped online and asked on Twitter, and Googled my way to see if the products were A. genuine and B. safe to buy. A load of people told me that the products were genuine and are usually stock that is being discontinued or are just older products. That aside I made my way back to Poundland to pick up a few of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Liquid Eyeshadows, £1.00.

I picked up three shades because they were such a bargain and I really wanted to give all of the colours a go. From left to right I bagged myself the shades Golden Bronze, Mercury Silver and Rich Russet. The eyeshadows are basically a highly pigmented liquid eyeshadow in a small tube with a sponge applicator. The texture of these is very creamy and true to colour but they dry pretty quickly, giving you just a small amount of time to blend and create the look you wish. However once you have blended and created your look, the staying power is phenomenal staying in place all day long and looking fab for hours.

Overall I'm really enjoying these liquid eyeshadows, they are completely different to anything I've tried before and they are so easy to use and work with. I love all of the shades I picked, my favourite being Rich Russet which I have used the most, mainly because its a very wearable daytime shade. Mercury Silver looks lovely paired with purple shadow, you can create a very beautiful metallic smokey eye using this one. I believe there are other shades available in this collection including a purple and deep green, which sound lovely if you're more daring than me!

You can pick these up from Poundland right now for just 1.00 each! I believe they have been discontinued in Boots and Superdrug and thats why they are now available in Poundland.
