Top Mascaras for Straight Lashes

I think mascara is probably the product I own the most of, when new ones are released I seem to always have to give them a go. Mascara is one of the beauty products which I simply could not go without when I'm wearing makeup, I feel like it completes any makeup look and I just love how fluttery and lovely you can make your lashes look! Within this post I have compiled my all time favourites for straight lashes. I have naturally very poker straight lashes which are actually quite a decent length once they're curled but they just drop so easily and it takes a pretty hefty waterproof mascara to keep them in place. In this post I'm going to share my current favourite mascara's that work the best for me, these are all in the waterproof formula so these have all been tried and tested - some for a couple of years and some are new purchases that I've fallen in love with.

W7 Oh So Waterproof is one of those mascaras that I paid around £3.00 for and expected it to be pretty rubbish and end up in the bin, but I was completely wrong. The W7 makeup range offer fantastic dupes for high end brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and Benefit, they offer some amazing products at very affordable prices. I particularly love the packaging colour of this mascara, the baby blue just sings to me and it's so nice and summery! The actual tube is quite a big one so it might not be the one you'd pick to carry around in your handbag but this isn't a major problem for me. The wand itself is quite large and rounded, if you have smaller eyes you might find this one difficult to apply but with my big eyes it's pretty easy and I find that the wand coats every lash in one go. I really like the end result I can achieve with this one, it gives a very natural look but keeps my lashes curled and gives them amazing length, its definitely more of a lengthening product.

Maybelline The Falsies has been a favourite of mine for a good few years now, I always heard such good things about it and once I finally gave it a go I completely fell in love and wouldn't use anything else! I really love the curved wand which means again, you can coat every lash in one go, and it creates a beautiful winged out lash effect which really elongates the eye shape. I find this mascara one of my favourites because it stays in place so well all day yet when it comes to removal, it is so easy and effortless which is a complete bonus as it is waterproof. I absolutely love this product and I feel I will forever use it as it's just one of those products that you can run back to and guarantee it will work. I also find Maybelline mascaras to be pretty affordable at £7.99, they're also normally on offer in Boots or Superdrug whether its buy one get one half price or get two products for £10.00.

Maybelline Lash Sensational is a pretty new purchase for me, I received this as a gift for my 21st birthday back in May and I started using it a week or so after. Again I have to say that one of my favourite features of this one is the curved wand and the fact that it has two different edges, one side seems to add more volume and the other more length, you can really create your desired look so easily. I think the only downside to this one is that its slightly harder to remove but it's still removed within seconds with my favourite Garner eye makeup remover. Lash Sensational is my current favourite and go to mascara for everyday, I really love the look it gives me and I will definitely be repurchasing when the time comes, also how cute is the packaging!

My next favourite is from Rimmel and it's their Wonderfull mascara, in this super lovely and bright blue packaging you can probably tell that I was completely drawn in by. I really love this mascara as it gives my lashes so much length and separation which is the thing I look for most, I really like my lashes to look long, fluttery and to give the illusion that I have 100 more than I actually do! I've always been pretty disappointed by Rimmel waterproof mascaras as they just don't seem to be very waterproof, however this one is a complete win in that department and it doesn't budge all day yet it is still easily removable with the right remover.

Last but certainly not least is the MaxFactor Masterpiece mascara which I've used for at least a year now and its still a clear favourite. If I'm having a day where I need my mascara to stay in place all day long for a good few hours, and it to not move, flake or smudge, this is the one I would choose. The extremely fab lasting power on this does mean that it is quite tricky to remove so I tend to only use this mascara when I need it as I worry my lashes will fall out but it's not that deadly so don't be put off! This particular one has a different wand to the rest, it's very slim and a lot smaller than the others, you can really push the product into the root of the lash which gives incredible volume and also some length at the same time.

So those are my absolute favourite must have mascaras, if you have poker straight lashes like me you'll love them too! What is your must have mascara?
