What I've Been Up To Lately

It has been a while since I have opened up my blog, let alone write a post on here so this feels quite strange! I haven't posted on my blog since last year and I think that's because I just lost my motivation and love for writing for a while and, sometimes, you just need to work on yourself to gain back the inspiration you need to continue. I've had a pretty busy year and I honestly can't believe we are moving into November next week, it is absolute madness. I thought I would write a little update today, fill you in on some exciting news and let you know what my plans are for the future.

The start of this year was quite unexpected, I decided to stop making YouTube videos and close my channel for the time being, until I work out if it's really something I enjoy doing anymore. I haven't really missed making videos which is definitely convincing me that my time on the platform is up. I may come back to making videos at some point in the future, but for now, I am enjoying having so much free time back in my life! I used to put a lot of pressure on myself to make videos and I have come to realise that you have to really enjoy it to make it work, I've also realised I much prefer writing and photography which is why I am focusing on my blog and Instagram platforms over the upcoming months.

Back in January I told myself that this would be the year I get back on track with things such as my diet and exercise, this started off well but hasn't really stuck... I am determined to get back to my favourite gym classes and I have been going for lovely long walks with my mum again which is lovely, we always have such a long natter.  I am just seeing it as a goal for myself to become a healthier and better version of me. I'd like to try some sort of meal prepping to ensure I am eating the right foods and enough of them, I've also been following Gemma Atkinson on Instagram who inspires me so much!

I'm working in education as a Personal Assistant/Administrator which I love, I truly believe in ensuring you have a job that you enjoy and doesn't give you that Sunday dread. I've actually been off for the past week and a half as I was involved in a car accident but I am ok and will be returning to work next week, I am a little bit excited to see everyone again I have to admit! I work with some amazing people, some of which are now my best friends which makes my job even better. Some exciting news is that in September I became a student again! I have started my studies on the BA (Hons) in Business & Management Practice which will be keeping me busy for the next three years. So far it has been a very daunting and challenging experience but it is exactly what I needed and I am so excited to push myself and achieve the very best I can, I am determined to make myself proud!

Finally, the biggest update and by far the most exciting piece of news is that I have finally, after years of hard work and saving, purchased my first house! I am so excited to be stepping on to the property ladder in Oxfordshire and can't wait to decorate my own little place once it is ready to move in. My completion date is the first week of December so I will hopefully be in by Christmas. Expect to see lots of content around my new place on both my blog and social media channels.

For now that is everything I have to say, until next time!
